Fog and Smog Tapped for Hyundai Ads

A few months ago, it got real in the Whole Foods parking lot. If you don't know what we're talking about, the inter-webs were taken aback this past summer with a video posted to YouTube that seemed to perfectly depict and hilariously parody Whole Foods' clientele, exorbitant prices, and a sub-sect of California yuppie (also in pockets across America) culture. The video stereotypes shoppers as hybrid-driving, kale salad and quinoa-eating urbanites, with one line saying "some girl in yoga-pants is looking at me funny, I'm just trying to find a decent Pinot Noir for under twenty." The video went viral and even garnered Dj Dave Wittman and friends from the San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas—hence the name Fog and Smog—a crack at doing spots for Hyundai. The first one, an ad touting the 2012 Hyundai Elantra's features done in the same mock-serious rap style can be viewed below:

The most recent spot touts the fuel efficiency of the 2012 Hyundai lineup, with four cars boasting an EPA estimated 40mpg highway. Wittman can be seen rapping "I mean these gas prices, they're still kind of crazy—but if I'm getting 40, it doesn't really phase me." In short, we want more!
