Geneva Soup For the Enthusiast Soul: Video Recap
As media and press from around the world fly back home, the Geneva Auto Show has just opened to the public. Cars weren't the only thing debuting at the show—automakers also debuted teaser videos and trailers of their newest offerings. Below, in about eight YouTubin' minutes, we bring you the best from the show. Bentley EXP 9 F Bentley has debuted a video crammed with imagery and small talk from those behind the ultra-luxury brand's latest, an SUV that has set the web abuzz. Just as entertaining are the accents—not the Bentley's "thicks of the capet, or softs of the leather," rather the actual speaker's accents. We counted five distinct ones from three separate countries. Also a falcon (the "F" in the vehicle's name stands for "falcon"), makes an absurdly dramatic cameo. Lamborghini Aventador J Roadster If THX were to make a music video about a car, this would be it. The video is just over a minute and we've already watched it three times. Lambo says the J Roadster is "a force of nature on wheels— supremely powerful and supremely open." And at 700-hp, we're apt to supremely agree.Range Rover Evoque Convertible That's right, convertible. Cruising around London town in an SUV must be fun, but even more so when topless (the car). The Range Rover Evoque was one of the most talked about new entries last year, and the convertible looks stout and sporty at the same time. While a drop-top may not be the most logical ride for English drivers, this video has the Range Rover propped against some nice imagery. Mercedes-Benz A-Class The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is what we've always wanted from the automaker (SLS AMG excluded). It's fun, stylish, and like the C-Class, accessible. We'll get our chance soon enough, as Mercedes-Benz has plans to send the new A-Class our way in the near future. And you thought all that government-mandated fuel economy stuff was bad.
