GM Recalls Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra

By | October 10, 2013
General Motors has announced a recall that will affect more than 21,000 vehicles, including the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Of the affected vehicles, 18,792 have been recalled in the United States, 2,575 in Canada, 103 in Mexico, and 71 overseas. All recalled Silverado and Sierra models are from the 2014 model year and have manual front seats backs. These manual reclining seatbacks may fail to meet a federal safety requirement for dynamic performance if struck from behind. No accidents or injuries have been reported in relation to this issue. GM will notify all owners of the affected vehicles, and dealers will inspect each seatback and make the necessary adjustments if needed. All repairs will be covered under the new vehicle warranty.
