Highly Anticipated 2013 Scion FR-S Pricing Announced

By Matthew Askari | March 23, 2012
When Toyota, the parent company of Scion, announced it was going to make an all-new sports car, the web was set abuzz. When details emerged that this would be an enthusiast-driven, rear-wheel-drive 2+2 coupe, a flurry of inquisitiveness and speculation overtook the conversation. Up until know we've had all the details but one: price. That is, until Scion officially released entry prices today. The 2013 Scion FR-S is priced starting at $24,930 after delivery, equipped with a manual transmission. The automatic model with paddle-shifters will start at $26,030 after delivery. "Scion's goal was to create an affordable sports car that true driving enthusiasts could enjoy. We accomplished that with the FR-S starting under $25,000," said Scion vice president Jack Hollis. Back when we first saw the FR-S at its global debut in Hollywood, we thought it looked great. Now priced accessibly, this could be the car to put Scion back on the automotive map. We'll be driving the Scion's new sports coupe next month, check back for driving impressions.
