Honda Accord Euro and Acura TSX to Live On?

By Matthew Askari | January 24, 2013
The Honda Accord Euro is not a nameplate many are familiar with in the U.S., but that's because the automaker has employed its luxury arm—Acura—to sell the car as the Acura TSX here in the U.S. And with the introduction of the Acura RLX, many have thought the TSX would go the way of the cowboy. According to a recent report on Car Advice, the Honda Accord Euro and Acura TSX are here to stay. Paragraphimage When asked whether a third generation of the Accord Euro was being readied, Honda president and CEO, Takanobu Ito, said it is, and added "right now, we're working really, really hard on the development." According to the report, the next generation is still some time off. Just last month, Honda spokesperson Chris Martin told associate editor Jacob Brown "Honda understands the unique importance that the TSX has had for the Acura lineup and realizes its strength in its segment." If Honda is to produce a venerable competitor to the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, it will require a significant improvement to lift the TSX nameplate. In the meantime, we'll be looking closely for new developments. Source: Car Advice
