Honda Prices 2012 Fit and Accord From $15,945 and $22,150
The year 2012 might mean the end of the world for the Mayan calendar or for people who take John Cusack movies seriously. But it only means a few subtle changes to the Fit hatchback and Accord sedan and coupe for the Honda Motor Company. Pricing the Fit at $15,945, including destination and handling, and the Accord at $22,150, both cars receive small price bumps, but also get a little more standard content in return. For the base Fit, not much changes with the $45 increase over last year’s model outside of some materials upgrades, interior lighting improvements, and a new center cupholder. The higher-trim Fit Sport receives a new front bumper and grille, dark metallic accents, and chrome accents around the gauges. It will start at $17,680 — a $30 decrease. A five-speed automatic transmission is available on base Fit models for $800 and $850 for the Fit Sport. For the Accord, the $170 increase will net customers a car with a standard radio USB interface, no matter what model. Last year, customers with MP3 players in need of their own tunes had to opt for upscale EX or EX-L models to be able to use access their own music through the stereo. For the coupe models, prices also increase $170 to $23,750. On top-level EX-L models in both coupe and sedan, the price increases $1000 over last year. An automatic transmission is optional on four-cylinder LX, SE, and EX models for an additional $800 and comes standard on leather-clad EX-L cars. None of the changes are drastic, but then again, Honda has a reputation for subtle upgrades from year to year. Both the 2012 Honda Fit and 2012 Honda Accord are in showrooms now. Look for the Accord to have a shortened model life as an all-new model bows for 2013. Source: Honda
