Hyundai Revitalizes Lineup: 2013 Santa Fe to Debut in New York
It's been a busy couple of months for Hyundai: In November the Korean automaker debuted the all new 2012 Hyundai Azera, and just this past week in Detroit it unveiled the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and Veloster Turbo. The popular 2012 Hyundai Elantra was even named the Car of the Year. And now our colleagues at our sister company Motor Trend have confirmed that the 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe will debut this April in New York. The current Santa Fe debuted in 2007, and was refreshed in 2010, but it lags behind the automaker's newer offerings. The 2013 Santa Fe is expected to bring more of the fluidic sculpture we've seen on its most recent cars, and will likely be more efficient than the model it replaces. The current generation Santa Fe has two available engines: A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing 175-hp, and a stronger 3.5-liter V-6, which ups horsepower to 276. Both engines only achieve mpg estimated averages in the low 20s. The new Santa Fe appears slightly larger and more aggressively styled than the model it replaces. It's likely to be in showrooms starting in the fall. Source: Motor Trend
This year, plenty of automakers pulled their full weight into the Consumer Electronics Show.
