I Spy: 2015 Mini Cooper Convertible
The 2015 Mini Cooper will be making its world debut this month in England, but new spy shots give us a good look at the new Mini ahead of that event. Like we saw in the teaser shots for the 2015 Mini Cooper's new ad campaign, the new model will retain much of the Mini's charm, with its iconic retro-styled front end gently evolving. The taillights appear to be a little larger than the current model, making for an even more lighthearted model, and the same is true for the headlights. Mini enthusiasts will instantly recognize the 2015 Mini Cooper, though its subtle changes may not be as obvious to the casual eye. We've also got a few details regarding what we can expect to power the 2015 Mini Cooper. As we mentioned previously, the new Mini will feature a choice of two engines; A 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine capable of 134 hp will serve the entry-level model, while the 2015 Mini Cooper S will opt for a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, capable of 189 hp. Buyers will once again have a choice of a six-speed manual, or six-speed automatic transmission, both of which we expect to feature start/stop technology. The 2015 Mini Cooper will debut November 18, while the convertible model will launch sometime next year. Source: Mini
