Ignition: A Closer Look at the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG adds considerable performance to the automaker's new entry-level sedan. The CLA is hitting showroom floors as we speak, and represents a new direction for Mercedes-Benz as the only front-wheel-drive car on offer at the moment. Two more cars, including the Mercedes-Benz GLA will be built using this same architecture. And while the CLA250 is largely about style, the CLA45 AMG--the model we're concerned with here--is about adding some muscle to that style. The CLA45 AMG's quick-shifting seven-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel-drive work to get the most out of the world's most powerful four-cylinder.
