Ignition Puts 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition Through Its Paces on Rubicon Trail

Count the number of vehicles that will go deep into the wilderness straight off the dealership lot that are sold in the U.S., and you might get a half dozen. Most notable, perhaps, is the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, a beefed-up version of the venerable and very capable Wrangler that's designed to dominate its namesake Rubicon Trail. Now, there's a 10th anniversary edition of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to commemorate the sheer awesomeness that is a vehicle that comes from the factory with stout Dana 44 axles. Jonny Lieberman, host of this week's Ignition, thrashes it about on one of the toughest courses in the world. And he does it while being a little closer to nature thanks to taking the doors off his Wrangler Rubicon. Unlike so many episodes of Ignition, there are no figure eight tests. There is no hooliganism with throwing a car sideways at 80 mph. In this episode, we might be lucky to see the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition go more than 5 mph, and that somehow seems just fine. Heck, we don't even get a price for the vehicle in the nine-minute video, but just in case you're wondering, it's a touch over 37 grand. Watch the video below to see just what this capable off-roader can do.
