Kia Introduces Soul Red Rock Edition to Recognize Red Rocks of the Southwest, We Think

By Jacob Brown | February 14, 2012
Does there really need to be a reason to make a special edition car? Of course there doesn't! Today is Monday, and that's why the 2012 Kia Soul Red Rock Edition exists. Enough said. The 2012 Kia Soul Red Rock Edition is, in fact, the seventh special edition of the Soul. We couldn't tell you what the first six were. But here's what we can tell you:
  • It will come in a limited edition color called "Canyon," with black leather trim and brown cloth on the seats.
  • It's based on the top-line 2012 Kia Soul! (Exclaim) model, with a price of $21,350, including $750 for destination and handling.
  • The mirrors and front bumper applique are painted in high-gloss black paint. Most Souls have black matte plastic in those areas.
  • It will come standard with automatic climate control and heated front seats, among other exclusive features.
Kia says the Soul Red Rock Edition was first launched at last April's New York Auto Show as a concept and received plenty of fanfare. But, as it is a limited edition, it's not going to be sold in large quantities, and Kia says it won't even be sold in some parts of the U.S. It is, however, available in dealerships now, so get it while it lasts.
