Lexus to Debut RC Coupe, New LF-NX Concept at Tokyo Motor Show

By | November 05, 2013
Lexus is bringing two exciting new cars to the Tokyo Motor Show this month, including the 2015 RC coupe and a turbo version of the LF-NX Concept seen earlier this year. The most notable part of the Lexus debuts is that each car fills a particular void in the brand's lineup. The 2015 Lexus RC coupe is a sporty coupe version of the IS sedan, designed specifically for its body style. Lexus says the RC "brings to life the luxury marque's focus on emotional appeal," and has been developed "to raise the brand's profile with a broader audience" and new Lexus customers. The RC coupe comes with the lowest interpretation of the Lexus spindle grille yet. The headlamps are triangular shaped, and the lights adopts a L-shaped pattern when the low beams are on. Inside, the car features high contrast interior trim, interior illumination, genuine shimamoku wood highlights, and a 7-inch navigation screen.
Two versions of the 2015 Lexus RC coupe will debut, including the 3.5-liter V-6 RC 350 and a hybrid RC 300h model with a 2.5-liter engine.
Lexus will also introduce an upgraded version of its upcoming compact crossover, the LF-NX Concept. The vehicle made its initial debut at Frankfurt earlier this year, but now the automaker is bringing a fuel-efficient turbocharged version with a two-liter engine. The new crossover promises a low center of gravity, an aggressive front end, and an advanced remote touch interface.
