'Live With Kelly and Michael' Show Reveals 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Refresh Early

By Jacob Brown | March 26, 2013
It's a fact that muscle car enthusiasts watch NFL, MMA, and WWE. They swig beer and go to heavy metal concerts. The sort of people who usually watch Live with Kelly and Michael are a more refined sort, supposedly. They also have the time to be watching TV during early work hours. All of this would make sense for why Chevrolet would let the talk show introduce the 2014 Camaro; its target audience wouldn't have had any clue the car was on during the show's annual pre-New York Auto Show festivities. Fortunately, someone at Camaro5.com snagged some screen shots while he was drinking his morning mimosa, catching the first glimpses of the refreshed coupe before its full reveal tomorrow. And it looks sharp. The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will grab the LED tail lights previously used exclusively for overseas Camaros as well as get a new vented hood, smaller grille, and front bumper reminiscent of the Camaro ZL1's. Engine options are said to remain the same: a base 3.6-liter V-6 that will produce 323 horsepower and achieve 30 mpg on the highway when optioned in 2LS form, a 6.2-liter V-8 with 426 horsepower in the Camaro SS, and the track-thrashing 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1. A leaked document showed late last year that the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro would be the likely recipient of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06's 7.0-liter V-8 with 505 horsepower on tap. But as of yet, those rumors have not yet been substantiated. The 2014 Camaro looks to have a revised, slightly nicer interior, but there's nothing to make you think that it's been too overhauled from the pictures captured from Kelly and Michael. Stick around for the full reveal tomorrow for all the details and to see what all has been changed underneath the Camaro's sheetmetal to breathe some new life into it for another few years.
