Mercedes-Benz Recalls 2011-12 C300, GLK 350, More

Mercedes-Benz is issuing a recall on several of its popular 2011 and 2012 models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a faulty fuel-filter may be on the following models: GLK 350; C300; CL550; CL63; E350; S400; S550; and S63.
The Problem Mercedes-Benz is recalling 5,800 vehicles for a fuel filter that could crack under high temperatures. If a defective fuel filter is cracked and exposed to a source of ignition, the car could catch fire. Affected models were produced from April 18, 2011, to July 12, 2011.
The Fix Mercedes-Benz will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel filter, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin sometime in January 2013.
