Supercar Sunday: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Rips through Nurburgring
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was the first exclusively developed sports car from AMG, and the SLS AMG Black Series is a performance version of an already ridiculous performance beast. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is powered by a fierce 6.2-liter V-8 capable of 622 horsepower, in what is truly a marvel of an engine. It shaves a few tenths of a second off of the SLS AMG's 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds, and needs only 3.2 seconds to send enthusiasts howling. Mercedes-Benz is debuting a final version of its lauded gull-winged icon this week at the 2013 LA Auto Show, with the debut of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition. And while it's at is, Mercedes is giving the SLS AMG a swan song to remember. It recently took the ultimate Black Series model to the track. But not just any track, rather Germany's famed Nurburgring. You can watch the nearly eight-minute video of the SLS AMG Black Series rip through the Nordschleife below: Source: Mercedes-Benz/AMG
