Mercedes to Debut AMG C-Class Black Series, ML-Class, SLK-Class at 2011 LA Auto Show
Mercedes-Benz is expanding its offerings from in-house tuner AMG at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show with the addition of the 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG SUV. The 2012 ML63 AMG joins the Mercedes Benz ML350 and the diesel-powered ML350 BlueTEC in the M-Class lineup. The Mercedes Benz M-Class AMG comes standard with a potent V-8 generating 518 horsepower and mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, all planted to the road via Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. Styling differences from the ML350 and ML350 BlueTEC include exclusive front, rear and side styling, and four exhaust pipes. Inside, standard equipment includes such features as designo leather, COMAND infotainment system, and heated/cooled seats. Buyers who want a more distinctive ML63 AMG can opt for the optional AMG Performance Package which includes even more horsepower and exclusive steering wheel. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG goes on sale in February 2012 with another V-8-powered M-Class, the ML550, going on sale that year as well. Other AMG vehicles making their debut at the 2011 LA Auto Show include the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series coupe, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG, and the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy will also be opening its doors at the LA Auto Show. Source: Mercedes-Benz
