Mini Prices 2014 Models; Slight Increases Across Entire Lineup

By Jacob Brown | June 12, 2013
Some automakers add a few hundred dollars in any given model year versus the previous year's prices. For 2014, the Anglo-Teutonic brand Mini is barely budging from its previous year's prices on most models. The 2013 Mini Cooper hardtop will be sold alongside the 2014 models until the all-new version bows as a late-2014 model. It starts at $19,700, as it had in previously. But destination and handling has gone up by $95 to $795 for all models, making the cost of entry into a new Mini Cooper hardtop just a hair under $20,500 all-in. All other models but the Mini Countryman and Mini Paceman retained their pricing from last year, with exception of the $95 destination fee increase. The two crossovers went up an additional $100 in their prices, from base Cooper all the way through John Cooper Works performance versions. The Mini Countryman and Paceman add standard heated mirrors and washer jets, though. Other changes for all models include standard rear cupholders in the rear seats of the Paceman and Countryman instead of the central rail system in addition to a new 12-volt power outlet, a padded armrest in the rear doors of the Countryman, the Comfort suspension becoming standard on the Paceman with the Sport suspension now becoming a no-cost option, and JCW interior and exterior pieces available for non-JCW owners. Mini is also changing around its equipment packages and will offer just one premium package and City Pack, $1,250 apiece. Model year 2014 Minis will go into production in July. Prices for all models, excluding the $795 destination charge, are as follows. Note that some models are still considered 2013 cars.
