Mitsubishi Auctioning Off Final 2012 Eclipse for Charity
Have you gotten your 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse yet? If the answer is no then welcome to a bidding war, literally. Mitsubishi will be auctioning a 2012 Eclipse Coupe SE this Saturday at the Mecum Auctions in St. Charles, Illinois. All of the proceeds raised from the sale of the Eclipse will be donated to the Japan Red Cross earthquake and tsunami relief fund. This Eclipse was the last one to roll off the assembly line at Mitsubishi's facility in Normal, Illinois for the 2012 model year. A host of customizations have been made to this Eclipse, and Mitsubishi hopes they will drive the bidding war up. Some of these features include leather interior trim, 18-inch dark argent wheels, and a 650-watt Rockford-Fosgate audio system with nine speakers. Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth, High Intensity Discharge headlights and "SE" exterior side graphics are also standard features. What really makes this Eclipse special though is the 3.8 liter V-6 engine that cracks the whip on 265 horses. This engine is only used on the Eclipse GT model making this special edition SE just that. A black paint scheme will coat the Eclipse SE as voted on by fans of Mitsubishi on Facebook.
