2014 Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan Debuting at Shanghai Motor Show as G4 Concept
Near the end of this month, Mitsubishi will be heading to the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show, debuting their new G4 sedan and CA-MiEV subcompact sedan concepts. The automaker will also be showing their updated production range. Although the G4 made its initial debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show last month, as of now it's almost ready for production. The Mitsubishi G4 is basically a sedan version of the automaker's Mirage hatchback. Looking at the vehicle as it is now, by taking a few element away like the spoilers, alloy wheels, blue lights, and grille, what's left will most likely be the production model that will go on sale within the next wheel. The Mirage is already on sale in select markets, and will be available in the U.S. this fall. Considering the affinity U.S. buyers have for sedans over hatchbacks and wagons, it's a good bet the sedan version of the Mirage will make it stateside at some point. The G4 will be powered by a 1.2-liter MiVEC three-cylinder engine that will be paired with a CVT that drives the front wheels. Also debuting in Shanghai is the CA-MiEV, first seen at the Geneva Motor Show. The subcompact's frame looks similar to the Toyota Prius, only 159.5 inches long and uses an electric motor and a 28 kW battery offering a range of 187 miles. Source: Mitsubishi
