Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Recalled for Faulty Clutch
Mitsubishi has announced a recall involving 2008 through 2013 model year Lancer Evolution sports sedans with a manufacturing date between December 12, 2007, and March 5, 2013. The vehicles affected by this recall have a faulty clutch master cylinder that may fail without warning. If this were to happen while out on the road, shifting would be difficult, if even possible, which would increase the risk of an accident and potential injuries. Mitsubishi will personally notify all owners of the affected vehicles by mail, and dealers will replace all defective clutch master cylinders at no charge. The recall is expected to start around November 11, 2013. The automaker is available for contact by phone at (888) 648-7820 with campaign number SR-12-009. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline is also available for contact by phone at (888)327-4236 or online at www.safercar.gov. Source: NHTSA
