New HUMMER Owner looks outside of US for Sales

Has conservationists and other green interests won its “war” against the Hummer? We’ve all heard stories about Hummers and their ownersbeing abused due to their bad reputation on the environment. Thus, it's interesting to here that Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery, the new owner of Hummer, believes that a “green” Hummer will be a huge success in emerging markets. Yes, that's right. Tengzhong plans to sell the huge SUVs outside the U.S. and China. That's despite the fact that seventy percent sold are with America. Note that he company also said that it will not make one Hummer for the U.S. and one Hummer for the rest of the world. “There is only one Hummer,” said Yang Yi, general manager of Scihuan Tengzhong. via Motor Trend
