You will find that the south Texas heat has baked the rubber inserts on your wiper arms. With lack of use and searing Texas heat, the inserts have about a six month life. Change them every six months and you will solve your problem.
NHTSA Forces Chevy, Buick, GMC Recall for Windshield Wiper Linkage
What goes up, well, you know the saying.
I have a 2011 Enclave and live in South Texas = no snow, barely ever rains. My windshield wipers hardly work the times I do need them. The dealership / shop doesn't now what the problem is other than there is a problem. Something like they push down too hard so they skip and don't apply pressure evenly to remove the water, rain, dirt. It really gets messy and hard to see. But since it never rains it doesn't ruin my overall Enclave experience.
