Nissan Recalls Nearly 20,000 Infiniti JX and Nissan Pathfinder Crossovers for Faulty Brakes
Nissan is recalling nearly 20,000 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX crossovers to repair potentially defective front brakes. The recall includes 14,168 Nissan Pathfinders and 5,090 Infiniti JX crossovers whose front brake torque members on the brake calipers were cast improperly. As a result, the front brakes could wear prematurely or even crack, leading to them failing. That could cause an accident. No injuries have been reported as a result. Nissan will begin sending recall notices for the Infiniti JX and Nissan Pathfinder in May to survey the front brakes on each crossover, replacing parts as necessary at no cost to the owner. Owners with any questions can contact Nissan at (800) 647-7261 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's hotline at (888) 327-4236, referencing campaign number 13V139000. Source: NHTSA
