Out with a Bang: 2013 Acura ZDX Loaded and Priced for Final Year
It's official: The 2013 Acura ZDX will be the final model year of the luxurious crossover, but that isn't stopping Acura from loading it up with goodies. These goodies however, come at a price. The 2013 Acura ZDX will be priced over $5,000 over the 2012's entry-level model, at $51,815 after delivery. Acura says the ZDX will only come in one premium trim. In addition to a redesigned grille and power-folding mirrors, the 2013 Acura ZDX will also get several more equipment in the cabin. Features now standard include a 435-watt, 10-speaker audio system with a 15 GB hard disk drive memory; navigation with voice recognition; an eight-inch media screen; multi-view rear camera; Bluetooth; cooled and heated front seats with perforated Milano leather; keyless entry and pushbutton start; and dual-zone climate control system. The 2013 Acura ZDX is powered by a 3.7-liter V-6 engine that develops 300 horsepower that's paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Fuel economy is rated at 16 mpg city and 23 mpg on the highway. The Acura ZDX shares much with Acura's MDX, both of which are currently produced in Alliston, Ontario. When Acura moves production to its Lincoln, Alabama, plant in early 2013, the automaker will discontinue production of the niche-segment ZDX. Jeff Conrad, vice president and general manager of the Acura Division said "Moving forward, we will continue to advance the Acura lineup with a focus on new core models, like the recently redesigned RDX and the upcoming all-new RLX flagship sedan." The 2013 Acura ZDX will go on sale beginning next week.Source: Acura
