Chrysler has announced pricing for the 2013 Dodge Dart Aero, a hyper-fuel-efficient variant of the sedan it launched earlier this year. The Dodge Dart Aero starts at $20,090 including a $795 bill for destination and handling. Along with the announced price tag, the Dodge Dart Aero has been officially rated by the EPA for 41 mpg on the highway. Chrysler announced its September sales figures a few days back, and Dodge sold 5,235 Darts, for a total of 9,254 sold to date. In an effort to help boost the Dart's fuel economy numbers, Dodge added a few extra features to its Aero package. It includes aluminum chassis parts, active grille shutters, an underbody aero kit, low rolling resistance tires, a lower profile than its regular sibling, and several aerodynamic tweaks to the exterior. Other standard features found on the normal 2013 Dodge Dart are also included like anti-lock brakes, stability control, remote keyless entry, LED taillights, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Chrysler's Uconnect infotainment system, and a 7-inch thin film transistor screen in the center of the instrument cluster. The 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo engine serves as the Dart's source of motivation and can be mated to your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed Dual Dry Clutch Transmission. The 2013 Dodge Dart without the Aero package starts at $15,995 and is built at Chrysler's Belvidere assembly facility in Belvidere, Illinois. There are over 100,000 different ways to customize the Dodge Dart including 12 different exterior colors, and yes Header Orange and Citrus Peel green are among those. Currently, the Dart is offered in an SE, SXT, Rallye, and Limited trim but the R/T is slated to join in during the third quarter of this year. Check out our impressions from the 2013 Dodge Dart first drive and be sure to check back when the R/T trim hits the market for impressions on that as well.
