Priced: 2013 Nissan Sentra Starts at $16,770, Tops Out at $20,540
Nissan has announced pricing for its latest version of the Sentra, now in its seventh generation. Prices for the base model 2013 Nissan Sentra S start at $16,770 including a $780 destination fee. On the other end of the lineup is the top-of-the-line Sentra SL with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), which goes for $20,540, also including destination. The 2013 Nissan Sentra is five percent lighter than the one it replaces but just a bit larger overall. Models equipped with a CVT see a 13 percent bump in fuel efficiency and achieve 34 mpg combined. Nissan claims that all Sentra models equipped with a CVT are capable of achieving a 415 mile range. Nissan's new signature trapezoid grille and wraparound headlights make its debut on the 2013 Sentra, along with standard LED taillights. Every 2013 Sentra is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission in the base Sentra S, or the next-gen Xtronic CVT in every other model. Inside, soft-touch materials are used on the instrument panel and front door armrests, while leather seats and Maple wood-tone trim are available options. Other available options for the 2013 Nissan Sentra include heated leather seats, dual zone automatic climate control, a Bose audio system, a back-up camera, and NissanConnectSM with navigation. The 2013 Nissan Sentra is expected at dealership lots across the country starting on October 16 and will sport seven different models. These include the Sentra S with the six-speed manual ($16,770); the Sentra S with a CVT ($18,040); Sentra FE+S ($18,440); Sentra SV ($18,750); Sentra FE+SV ($19,150); Sentra SR ($19,650); and the Sentra SL ($20,540). Every model listed includes the $780 destination fee, and includes a CVT unless otherwise noted.
