Priced: 2013 Range Rover Starts at $83,500, Tops Out at $130,950
The 2013 Range Rover was shown off a month ahead of its Paris debut a few weeks back. Today we know how much it will cost. Land Rover revealed that the base Range Rover will start at $83,500 including destination. If you want the best Range Rover currently has to offer, you better be willing to fork over $130,950 for the Autobiography variant. Pricing for individual trim levels is still unknown. For comparison's sake, the 2013 Range Rover gets a $3,225 bump in price over the model. The latest Autobiography model receives a $4,285 increase from its 2012 version. This increase in price can be explained by all of the updated materials used both inside and out of the latest Range Rover. More aluminum was used during construction of the 2013 Range Rover which resulted in a 39 percent in weight reduction. A hybrid Range Rover is also in the works but we here in North America won't see it because of stringent emissions regulations. Both the 5.0-liter V-8 engine and the supercharged variant continue to be available in the 2013 Range Rover. The usual six-speed automatic transmission has been replaced though in favor of an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Each engine puts out 375 and 510 horsepower, respectively. As we noted when the Range Rover first broke cover, the exterior design had been altered to keep pace with its sibling, the Range Rover Evoque. Like the Evoque, the 2013 Range Rover sports a rounded face with both the front-end and headlights having more of a slope than in years past. Land Rover also added more legroom in the 2013 Range Rover. The Range Rover's updated touch-screen infotainment system and other interior tweaks like the dashboard-covered in leather are also character traits of the smaller Evoque. While we already know almost everything there is to know about the 2013 Range Rover, Land Rover will still parade the latest version out later this month at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. After the show, the latest Range Rover is expected to be available on our shores by the end of this year. Be sure to check back for our coverage of the Paris later this month. Source: Land Rover
