Pricing for the 2014 Infiniti Q50 lineup has been announced, starting at $37,605 and going as high as $49,055 for the V-6 hybrid all-wheel drive model. Both of those prices include the $905 destination fee. Infiniti hopes to bring in "a new generation of young, premium customers" who are looking for a vehicle that offers both performance and luxury.
In case you haven't heard, Infiniti has decided to rename its entire portfolio, which is why the G lineup--Infiniti's most popular sedan--will now be known as the Q50. With the new name comes a new exterior design, more technology, and two different engine offerings. For 2014, the Infiniti Q50 will be offered with your choice of a 3.7-liter V-6 engine or a 3.5-liter engine for the hybrid variant. Infiniti will be the first to tell you that Q50 models outfitted with a hybrid drivetrain will be the fastest of its kind to accelerate on the market while still touching 36 mpg on the highway.
Both the gasoline and hybrid models will be available in both rear- or all-wheel drive and offer a variety of trimmings. Sport models will include stronger brakes and a suspension tuned to handle spirited driving. As for the new tech, features like Direct Adaptive Steering, Active Lane Control, and Predictive Forward Collision Warning are all making its debut on the 2014 Infiniti Q50. Direct Adaptive Steering relays the driver's input to the wheels faster than a normal mechanical system while Active Lane Control uses a camera-based lane marker detection system to keep in a desired lane. Direct Adaptive Steering further helps to keep the Q50 in its lane and the Predictive Forward Collision Warning alert the driver when an obstruction is up ahead. This system can detect not only the vehicle directly in front, but it also tracks what the vehicle ahead of that is doing as well. Lastly, Infiniti's InTuition will ride onboard and allows owners to have an easier time customizing and connecting various devices through the vehicle. It's displayed on two separate screens, which also hold various other functions, features, and applications.
As we learned back in March at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, order banks are open but don't expect any new 2014 Infiniti Q50 vehicles on dealership lots until early next month. Check out a full list of 2014 Infiniti Q50 prices below.
