Ram Releases Third Teaser Image Just Days Before Official Unveil

By Trevor Dorchies | April 03, 2012
In the third installment of teaser photos for the 2013 Ram 1500, Chrysler's truck branch has released this image shown above. This photo is one of five teaser images that will be released by Ram leading up to the latest 1500's debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show on April 5. The marketing campaign, known as "A Giant Awaits," goes through the end of the day tomorrow and gives viewers the chance to guess what each photo is on Ram's Facebook page. While the first two photos were obvious to what they were, the third image is not as openhanded. We at Automotive.com have come to the conclusion that this latest photo is of part of the front bumper. However, the image is also very ambiguous and since many trucks consist of stamped steel this picture could be of anything. Ram will continue to tease the public until the 2013 Ram 1500's introduction. While the first two teaser images have all been skin deep, the latest Ram's biggest changes take place under the hood. Chrysler's Pentastar V-6 engine will make its debut under the 2013 Ram 1500's hood and will be linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The latest Ram also welcomes an airbag suspension system that is also used in the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
