Recall Central: Almost 44,000 2012-13 Honda Fit Sport Models for Vehicle Stability Assist Issue

Honda is recalling 43,782 2012-13 Honda Fit Sport models for an issue with the vehicle's Vehicle Stability Assist system software. The Honda Fit Sport is the automaker's entry-level hatchback five-door model. Paragraphimage Issue Honda Fit Sport models equipped  with certain tires do not meet U.S Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). A statement released by Honda said the issue was discovered during compliance testing. A defective Vehicle Stability Assist system could increase the chance of an accident. Honda says no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of the faulty VSA. The Fix Affected owners will be able to have their VSA software updated by Honda dealers at no charge.
