By | August 27, 2013
The 2014 Range Rover Evoque has only been on sale since early last year in the U.S., but that's not stopping Land Rover from adding new equipment and appeal to its latest crossover. When it goes on sale this fall, the 2014 Range Rover Evoque will feature a nine-speed automatic transmission, making gear shifts almost imperceptible, and also increasing fuel efficiency.  The 2014 Evoque will also benefit from an Active Driveline system, one which deactivates the four-wheel drive at speeds of over 22 mph. The Active Driveline will also aid in fuel efficiency when getting about town, but allow the driver to have all-wheel-drive capability when needed, with the four-wheel drive system automatically activating in 300 milliseconds. There 2014 Range Rover Evoque will also employ an Active Torque Biasing system which instantly gauges and directs power where needed, to aid in traction and stability control. This feature also enhances agility and safety. Additionally, there are new parking technologies such as Park Exit, which aid the Evoque in exiting a parallel parking space. Another feature, Perpendicular Park, helps position a car centrally in parking spots. And the changes are not limited to technology, as the 2014 Evoque boasts a few cosmetic changes as well. There are new color schemes for the interior, new alloy wheel styles and a new badges on the grille, wheel centers and tailgate. The Evoque will continue to be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, capable of 240 hp. Official pricing is not yet available. Source: Land Rover
