Relief At the Pump? Diesel, Gas Prices Dropping
Motor Trend’s “This Week In Gas Prices” recently posted info on gas prices and, for once, had some good news. Diesel prices apparently are dropping across the U.S. and prices for regular are expected to dip a bit as well. The New York Times suggests that the average price of just under $4 might be reduced to as low as $3.50 by midsummer. If that happens at all, it would probably be a temporary reduction. Gas Price Average on 5/9: $3.965 The biggest jump in gas prices this week was a tiny $0.027 increase in the Rocky Mountain region. Prices in the Midwest went down about the same amount while the price of gas in California held steady, at $4.254.
