Spied! 2014 Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue has been on the market since 2007, and the small CUV has finally undergone a full redesign. Testing has only recently begun for the new Rogue, and we've caught engineers putting a 2014 Nissan Rogue prototype through testing in the desert as temperatures are rising as summer kicks into full swing. The new CUV sits on the new, modular "CMF" chassis, and the 2014 Rogue will have an updated version of the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with the new XTRONIC CVT transmission. Looking at the exterior of the smallest CUV in Nissan's lineup, it seems that the new Rouge will take most of its styling cues from the Nissan Hi-Cross concept that debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. One source claims the 2014 Rogue will offer a third row seat option, but that is hard to imagine when looking at the photos. It's more likely that Nissan will go with two small jump seats in the back. Production of the Rogue will begin in the last quarter of 2013 and will be moved to Nissan's Smyrna, TN plant. The 2014 Nissan Rogue will likely make its official debut at the 2013 LA Auto Show.
