Spied! More Spyshots of 2014 Chevy Corvette, Including Interior
More spyshots of the upcoming 2014 Chevrolet Corvette have found themselves on the autosphere. Like the previous images, most of the new seventh-generation Corvette--the C7 Corvette to its fans--spyshots are of the exterior. The images are closer, though we still can't make out much detail due to the camouflage. The photographers did, though, snag a quickie of the interior. Interestingly, it's as heavily camouflaged as the Corvette's exterior. You can see that General Motors has significantly redesigned the steering wheel controls. In fact, the whole steering wheel looks unique to the C7 Corvette, which is just as well, seeing as how the current $100,000 Corvette ZR1 shares its steering wheel with a $19,000 Malibu. Other interior close-ups include the top half of the Chevrolet Corvette's passenger seat and another closeup of the driver side (with genuine driver in it). The Corvette's seats have come under criticism for decades as being too flimsy for a car with such enormous performance potential. From what we can see, at least, Chevrolet has been listening, as the new seats look like a significant upgrade. We'll find out just how big the improvements are when we get our first look at the new C7 Corvette, probably at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
