By | September 22, 2013
The new Alfa Romeo 4C has been receiving some big hype lately, and for good reason. This new model marks the return of the brand back into the world of the sports car coupe. The new 4C exemplifies the Alfa Romeo tradition, which can be seen in its unique design, strong performance, and great handling. This lightweight sports car has been designed to deliver maximum driving pleasure and blend form and function. Designed at the Maserati plant in Modena, Italy, the new Alfa Romeo 4C sits at around 13 feet long, with an almost 8 feet wheelbase to improve agility and performance. So what numbers does this sports car produce? The 4C goes from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 160 mph. Although there are many who would like to get their hands on one of these new sports cars, only 3,500 units will be produced annually. However, 1,000 of the total production will be for the European market, and orders will start to be accepted at all European Alfa Romeo dealers in October. Now here's what you're really interested in. Below is a video of Giancarlo Fisichella, Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 driver, behind the wheel of the new Alfa Romeo 4C. He takes it out on the track to see just what the 4C is capable of. Although the video is in Italian, you get the impression that he's enjoying himself. And as for you, enjoy the video below, as the car should be coming to the U.S. within the next few months. Source: Alfa Rome via YouTube, Alfa Romeo
