Sweden needs Answers from Ford, GM to aid Volvo, Saab
One country among many that is considering a bail out for its automakers is Sweden. Unfortunately, it has a little bit of a problem on its hands. The major automakers in Sweden are Volvo and Saab. The former is partially owned by Ford and General Motors owns part of the latter. So will a bailout of both American automakers provide enough for Saab and Volvo, or does the state of Sweden need to step in, too? Will the automakers sell the Swedish companies? Will they commit to them and help make new models? All of these questions and more need to be answered for the Swedish government to have some idea what to do. via Reuters
