Toyota, Lexus to Cover Wear and Tear on Your Leased Vehicles
Toyota is upping the ante in attracting new customers and keeping old ones. How? By covering the costs of those annoying dents, dings, and scratches that afflict all vehicles through daily use. The automaker is even footing the bill to replace missing car parts. Can we say "winning!"? Toyota's program is called Excess Wear & Use Protection Plan. EWU will be available on Toyota and Lexus leased vehicles only, and cover such "excess wear and tear" items as burns (cigarettes, anyone?), scratches, cracked windshields, dents, and replace even missing parts. Normally lessees are responsible for covering such items. A comprehensive listing of items covered by Toyota's EWU program can be found at Toyota Financial Services and Lexus Financial Services, which handles the service. Both sites can also assist in locating dealerships offering the program. (Unless you live in the Gulf States Toyota or Southeast Toyota regions, where the program is not offered. Sorry, folks.) Interested consumers can also contact Toyota at (800) 331-4331.Toyota EWU is not offered in Alaska, New England, New York, Texas, and Utah. Want more?
