Video of the Day: Ferrari Shows Off How F620 GT Is Made

By Trevor Dorchies | February 27, 2012
Anytime iconic supercar producer Ferrari rolls out an all-new model it has everyone's undivided attention. In today's installment of Video of the Day, Ferrari teases us by showing one of its supercars on the assembly line prepping for its life in the fast lane (or so it hopes). The Ferrari F620 GT was originally scheduled to be shown off to the world at the Geneva Motor Show next month but shots of the super exotic car were leaked early. Ferrari held an exclusive preview event last week and someone decided to share the car early with the world instead of waiting for its scheduled debuts. The first official debut was slated for February 29 with the other happening at the Geneva Motor Show next month. While nothing has been confirmed yet, we expect the Ferrari F620 GT to crib an incredibly robust 6.3-liter V-12 engine rated at a mind-bending 740 horsepower. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is also expected to be hooked to the F620's engine in an effort to propel the Italian sports car from a reported 0-62 mph time of three seconds on the nose. Top speed for the Ferrari F620 GT is expected to be capped at around 211 mph.
In the video a lot of metal is seen being fashioned into what can be presumed as the all-new F620 GT. A Ferrari body is seen being tended to by an array of machines working feverishly to weld the body in the proper places while human-counterparts sand down the worked areas and check the paneling for spacing.  There isn't much other information to be gathered from this 36 second video but one thing is sure. We expect this latest Ferrari to go fast, really fast. Check out the video in its entirety below. What do you think of the all-new Ferrari F620 GT? Is a V-12 engine too much or just right for a super exotic car like the prancing horse? Sound off in the comment section below. Source: Ferrari
