Video of The Day: Meet Mad Max’s New Police Car

By Blake Z. Rong | October 05, 2011
OK, maybe it doesn’t have a huge blower sticking out of the hood—or side pipes, or beefy BF Goodrich Radial T/As, or Mel Gibson’s faulty brain-to-mouth offensiveness filter. But even as relatively subtle as this Nissan GT-R looks, it will still frighten Toecutter once the lights go off. Outfitted by EVI Corp of Springfield, Virginia, this GT-R was fitted with hidden lights in the grille and on the top of the windshield, and only when they’re lit do they look like anything resembling law enforcement. High-mounted police lights on the rear window and taillight strobes complete the package out back. If a black-on-black Dodge Charger is a pantaloon-agitating sight in the rearview, imagine what a murdered-out GT-R will do for upholstery reconditioning. Automotive.com’s take: With a GT-R police car, Nissan takes a page out of Need For Speed’s book. Now all we need is a Lamborghini Aventador with gumball lights…and maybe Chrissy Teigen.
