Video of the Day: Russian Olympians Get Behind the Wheel of a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming about a vehicle you really want to drive? This is exactly what happens to Olympic gold medalists Alexei Nemov and Evgeni Plushenko, sort of. In the dream, Nemov hands the keys over to Plushenklo so he can sign an autograph. This turns into the chance they've been waiting for as they pilot a Mercedes-Benz SLS around a track. Little do they know, this dream is being recorded by Mercedes as the automaker's latest commercial destined for Russian airwaves. In the commercial, it appears Nemov and Plushenko engage in a rivalry of sorts, even though Nemov is a gymnasts and Plushenko earned his gold medal in figure skating. What ensues from here is nothing short of dream material. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, rated at 563 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. With a price tag a hair below $200,000 and performance like those, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is the stuff of dreams. Check out the video below to see this all unfold for yourself. Source: YouTube
