Video of the Day: World's Fastest Car Show Takes on World's Fastest Subcompact

By Trevor Dorchies | May 31, 2013
In case you missed it, the Motor Trend YouTube channel has added another show, and it comes to you in the form of the World's Fastest Car Show. In the latest installment, host Justin Bell--yes the same Justin Bell who has raced in LeMans--takes the 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth convertible for a spin through the mountains in California. Bell walks us through some of the topless Abarth's features, including an explanation about the Fiat's stubby nose, and, of course, the signature exhaust note. Bell and company even time how long it takes to take the Abarth's top off (18 seconds). After, Bell takes a seat inside the subcompact cinquento and walks viewers through pedal positioning. With all of the regular pleasantries dispensed with, Bell then takes off down a mountain road to the sound of Karl Abarth's patented exhaust note. Bell heads down the road while simultaneously giving viewers a brief history lesson on Karl Abarth, the racing legend who these vehicles are named after. Once the history lesson has finished, Bell then walks through some of the Abarth's specs and explains how it differentiates from other Fiat offerings. We've already said too much here, but check out Justin Bell and the 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth convertible for yourself below. Source: YouTube
