Video(s) of the Day: Rallying with Team Scion, and a 2013 Audi S4 vs. 2013 Volvo S60 T6 R-Design
Rally car driving has been around for a while now, but it wasn't until the X Games started featuring it recently and Ken Block began peeling tires off his Ford Fiesta ST GRC in a series of videos, that it really started gaining traction in the United States. In today's installment of Video(s) of the Day, J-Turn host Jessi Lang experiences what it takes to be a rally car driver and co-pilot with Team Scion. She follows Scion driver Andrew Comrie-Picard and his co-driver, Jeremy Wimpey, as they write pace notes and show Lang firsthand what it takes to go fast in rally. Comrie-Picard and Wimpey show Lang the ropes with Scion's latest Rally car, an xD, that's been outfitted with 1.8-liter 2ZR-FE engine and receives a bump in horsepower courtesy of a GReddy turbo. This combination is good for 265 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Your second helping from Video of the Day comes to you in the form of a Head 2 Head in which host Jonny Lieberman pits a 2013 Audi S4 AWD against a 2013 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design. The S4 returns to do battle while Lieberman and Co. welcome the Volvo into the ring for the first time. To decide which one is superior, Jonny does what any self-respecting sports sedan owner would do: Take it to a canyon road to toss it around. It's not all about canyon carving in this Head 2 Head though, as Lieberman examines things like interior ergonomics, among other things. As usual, we're not going to tell you everything that happens in the videos below, so you're just going to have to check both of them out for yourself. Head 2 Head appears every other Wednesday on the Motor Trend YouTube channel while the J-Turn airs every other Tuesday.Source: YouTube
