Volkswagen to Sell 2012 Beetle White Turbo Model Alongside Black Turbo in U.S.
The next-generation Volkswagen Beetle hits the market as a 2012 model with two new special edition models: the White Turbo and Black Turbo. These new Beetles will be based on the high-performance Beetle Sport 2.0 TSI DSG with its 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. For those who simply won't drive a black car like the Beetle Black Turbo, meet the Beetle White Turbo and its Candy White paint for the U.S. market. To emphasize the car's power, the limited-volume Volkswagen will have a “Turbo” signature on the sides as well as color-contrasting mirrors. Black machine-polished Tornado alloy wheels add to the curb appeal. The dashboard, steering wheel badge, and door panels are painted the same color as the exterior. The Beetle Black Turbo, already available in Volkswagen's pre-order program, has a Deep Black exterior, with the dashboard, steering wheel badge, and door panels painted the same color. Like the White Turbo model, it receives a “Turbo” signature on the sides plus color-contrasting mirrors and wheels. The Black Turbo car has the same wheels on the White Turbo model, but with white accents. Volkswagen's iconic Beetle has returned for 2012 looking much fresher than the model it replaces. The sportier design has a wider stance and a longer hood. Would a special edition like the upcoming White Turbo and Black Turbo convince you to take a look at the 2012 Beetle? Source: Volkswagen
