The 2009 Nissan 350Z comes into the year with only one body style, the convertible, and with only one engine, the 306-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. With a bit of re-molding on the body shape and improved safety and suspension, it still holds its own in the convertible arena.

Exterior

The 2009 Nissan 350Z body and design measures 169.8 inches in length, 71.5 inches in width, and 52.5 inches in height, sitting on a 104-inch wheelbase. It has 61 inches front tread, 61 inches rear tread, and comes fitted with 18-inch silver alloy wheels with P225-45WR18.0BSW performance front tires and 245-45WR18.0BSW rear tires.

Interior

The 2009 Nissan 350Z with front sport seats accommodates two occupants and uses a two-door body style. Passengers get 42.6 inches of legroom, 39.2 inches of headroom, 53.2 inches of hip room, and 53.6 inches of shoulder room, with a maximum 4.1 cubic feet of cargo space. It comes with a power retractable convertible roof with lining, a glass rear window, and a wind blocker.

The interior shows some modernization, including heated front seats, power driver and passenger bucket seats, and leather upholstery.

Comfort and convenience fittings include air-conditioning, a power driver’s seat, power steering, a dome light with fade, front reading lights, a cup holder, and more storage space, such as dual door bins, bin instrument panel storage, locking interior concealed storage, and seat back storage on one seat.

The 2009 Nissan 350Z also comes standard with light tinted windows, variable intermittent front wipers, a rear window defroster, radio and power cruise control on the steering wheel, and remote keyless entry.

For entertainment, the 2009 Nissan 350Z features an AM/FM radio with a CD player and an MP3 decoder. It also comes with various driver warning signals, such as the low battery warning, low washer fluid warning, and the more common lights on, low fuel, door and trunk-ajar, low brake fluid, and the low tire pressure warnings.

The 2009 Nissan 350Z also comes with several valuable gauges, including an engine temperature gauge, voltmeter gauge, and exterior temperature gauge, in addition to the trip computer and the odometer.

Performance & Handling

In performance, the 2009 Nissan 350Z comes with a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that produces 306 hp at 6800 rpm and 268 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm torque. The engine contains 24 valves. It pairs with a six-speed manual transmission with overdrive and employs rear-drive.

Safety

The 2009 Nissan 350Z comes fitted with several safety systems, such as four-wheel independent suspension, front and rear anti-roll bar, front and rear multi-link suspension, front and rear coil springs, gas-pressure front and rear shocks, rack and pinion steering, and stability and traction control, all to enhance stability and maneuverability of the vehicle.

Other 2009 Nissan 350Z safety features include front and side-impact airbags, as well as an occupant-sensing deactivation system to reduce the incidence of airbag injuries sustained from a launching airbag.
