Overview

The 1995 Nissan Maxima is a sedan that comes in three trim levels: GXE, SE, and GLE. This year’s model offers several design changes and exciting additions.

What's New

The 1995 Nissan Maxima has been redesigned for the model year to have a longer, more aerodynamic shape. Three trims are now available and all three trims now come with the 190 horsepower V-6 engine, which was previously only available on the SE.

Exterior

All 1995 Nissan Maxima models come with body-colored body-side moldings, dual power remote heated mirrors, a power antenna, and light tinted windows standard. A power sliding glass sunroof is an available option for all models. The GXE comes with steel wheels, while the SE and GLE come with alloy wheels. A wing spoiler comes standard on the SE.

Interior

The 1995 Nissan Maxima comes with standard front bucket seats, two-way front passenger seat, center rear armrest, tilt steering wheel, and driver and passenger visor vanity mirrors. Other standard features include front reading lights, full floor console, cargo light, in-dash clock, four speakers, systems monitor, and power front and rear windows. Heated front seats are an available option for all models.

The 1995 Nissan Maxima GXE and SE come with an AM/FM/Cassette audio system, while the GLE comes with an AM/FM/Cassette/CD audio system. This audio system is available as an option in the other two models. In the GXE and SE, the driver’s seat is two-way, while the GLE has a six-way powered driver’s seat. This is available in the other two models as an option. Manual air-conditioning and cloth upholstery are standard on the GXE and SE, while the GLE has automatic air-conditioning and leather upholstery. These features are available as options for the SE. The SE and GLE come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Performance & Handling

All 1995 Nissan Maxima models are front-wheel drive and come with a sport suspension. The front rear suspensions are strut suspensions. It comes with front and rear anti-roll bars standard. Cruise control is also standard for all models. All models come with a 3.0-liter, V-6 engine capable of producing 190 horsepower. The GXE and SE come standard with the five-speed manual transmission with the four-speed automatic transmission available as an option. The GLE, however, only comes with the four-speed automatic transmission.

Safety

The 1995 Nissan Maxima offers standard four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock brakes available as an option. Other standard safety features include driver and passenger air bags, cornering lights, illuminated entry, power door locks, power trunk/hatch/door release, and a rear defroster. The GXE and SE come with fixed interval windshield wipers, while the GLE comes with variable intermittent windshield wipers. The GLE also comes with a content theft-deterrent alarm system and remote keyless entry. These three features are available as options on the GXE and SE.
