Nissan has revived 4-door sports car terminology for the redesigned 2009 Maxima. The new Maxima exhibits sporty styling borrowed from its sports car sibling, the GT-R.
The Maxima is powered by 3.5-liter V6 that generates 290 horsepower and 261 pound feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission.
Fuel economy on the Maxima ranges from 19 miles per gallon city, up to 26 miles per gallon highway.
While Nissan is touting the sporty nature of the Maxima, its luxury credentials cannot be overlooked. This test car came equipped with leather seating, navigation system, and power sunroof.
Base MSRP for the 2009 Nissan Maxima is $30,160. A fully loaded model can cost as much as $39,000. The Maxima is backed by a 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
With sporty styling, luxury amenities, and a potent engine, Nissan offers much more than just a 4-door sports car in the '09 Maxima.
