Perhaps it is not the newest car but my 2008 Saab 9-5 is as reliable as ever. As far as price goes, it is not an expensive car. I got mine for a steal of a price, new. Normally when you get a great deal you expect to get what you paid for. My Saab blew me away in that regard because of its outstanding features. It is eerily luxurious and comes with a huge list of standard features. Compared to older versions on the market, and you will run into older versions, the 2008 is a huge step up in terms of looks. Its exterior is much like that of a modern sedan and very pleasant on the eyes. As for finding older versions of the 9-5 on the market, I sure know I did. It has been around since before the turn of the millennium so it has a lot of versions out there. I cannot tell you much about those but I can tell you that the cargo space and roomy seating are something I wish every car came with. Many of the additional features that it offers can be found in just about every car as this point; which is to be expected, considering its age. In addition to that it has weak gas mileage compared to newer vehicles on the market. Its control and acceleration are still wonderful features though and makeup for some of its lacking performance elsewhere.
