All-new for 2010, the 2010 Saab 9-5 is a luxury sedan with all-wheel drive and brand-new adaptive suspension as well. The Saab 9-5 is powered by a 2.8-liter turbocharged V-6 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control.

With the same emphasis on safety for which Saab is known, the Saab 9-5 has a comprehensive safety system. Its fuel economy is rated by the EPA at 16 mpg city / 27 mpg highway.

New for 2010

The 2010 Saab 9-5 is all-new, complete with a new chassis, bodywork, and interior. While the engines and drive trains are carried over from the Saab 9-3, they are matched to a new adaptive suspension. Also new is that Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Sign Recognition are offered.

On the Outside

While the exterior of the 2010 Saab 9-5 is entirely new, it still features classic brand elements, including a three-hole nose, flat roof, elongated C-pillars, big wheels, and blacked-out pillars.

From the Inside

The interior of the Saab 9-5 is also all-new for 2010. Now standards are leather, automatic climate control, and a head-up display. Optional features include navigation, an upgraded stereo, adaptive cruise control, and Saab's Night Panel feature.

Driving Performance

The Saab 9-5 is equipped with a 2.8-liter turbocharged V-6 engine producing 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Adaptive suspension is optional and added traction is gained with an electronic rear limited-slip differential. The 9-5 accelerates from zero to 60 mph in about 6.9 seconds.

Safety Equipment

Standard safety equipment on the Saab 9-5 includes driver and passenger front and side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, traction and stability control, lane departure warning, and a head-up display.
