Overview

The 1995 Saab 900 comes as either a two- or four-door convertible or a four-door hatchback. Three different engines are found in the two different models offered. It has sufficient power and relatively stiff handling, which allow drivers to have a fun experience on the road. It also has the added benefit of getting good gas mileage, and passengers enjoy a comfortable ride without feeling cramped. Hatchback models have lots of extra room to carry golf clubs, groceries, or camping gear.

Exterior

The 1995 Saab 900 has a 182-inch length, 67-inch width, 56-inch height, and a 102-inch wheelbase. It has an attractive design that speaks class and appeals to drivers of all ages. It comes standard with 15-inch wheels.

Interior

The 1995 Saab 900 provides enough room to comfortably fit five passengers. In the front, there are electrically heated reclining bucket seats with height-adjustable head restraints. The analog and digital gauges are logically arranged in the black panel dashboard. The controls for audio, air-conditioning and heating, and lights are located conveniently. In the rear, there is a two-position fold-down seat with a fold-down armrest in the middle. Rear passengers enjoy a nice amount of legroom. It features plush floor mats in the front and rear, power windows and locks, a remote central locking system and trunk release, and an anti-theft system with remote. Leather seating and steering wheel trim are optional.

Performance & Handling

The 1995 Saab 900 S model comes packed with a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. The SE comes with either a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-charged engine that pumps out 185 horsepower and 194 lb-ft of torque or a 2.5-liter, six-cylinder engine that cranks out 170 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque.

The 1995 Saab 900 is built with a strut front suspension with stabilizer bar and a rear suspension with stabilizer bar and coil springs. The result is a smooth, stable ride on any road conditions and has firm handling while maneuvering in traffic and a good steering feel. However, road noise can be an issue.

Safety

The 1995 Saab 900 comes standard with anti-lock brakes on all four wheels. There are driver and front passenger front-impact airbags. The NSTSA gives a four-star crash test rating for driver and passenger frontal crashes.
