The Saturn VUE crossover SUV has been completely redesigned for 2008 with an emphasis on safety and styling.
In addition to six air bags and electronic stability control, a new feature that brings the VUE into the next generation of safe automobiles is the pedal release system that disengages the pedals in the event of a frontal crash, freeing up foot space so the driver can safely exit.
Power for the VUE comes from choice of three engines ranging from a 169 horsepower 2.5 liter inline 4, to a 257 horsepower 3.6 liter V6.
Either front wheel drive or all wheel drive setups are available.
Fuel economy ranges from 16 miles per gallon city with the larger V6, to 26 miles per gallon highway with the inline 4.
Like all new Saturns, the VUE comes with a five year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and one year of GM's On-Star service.
Base price for the 2008 Saturn VUE is $21,250, while the sporty Red Line All wheel drive starts at $29,300.
With an all-new design and innovative safety features, the 2008 Saturn VUE is driving to the forefront of next-generation crossover SUVs.
